The journey to create Pacific Pulse began with a spark of inspiration from the Bioluminescent Fashion Couture Exhibit artist contest in Barcelona (#NFxDFAIExhibition). This contest served as a launching pad for my exploration into how technology and creativity can merge to produce something truly extraordinary. Growing up by the ocean and experiencing the vibrant glow of our underwater residents in Hawaii, I felt a calling to capture this magical phenomenon and bring it to life through fashion.
Our island home is filled with bioluminescent wonders, from glowing coral reefs to mesmerizing marine life. These captivating creatures, such as the Taningia danae squid and ethereal jellyfish, became muses for my designs, influencing each piece with their natural elegance and glow-in-the-dark brilliance.
